An Erudite Old Boy Bags Fellowship Award from ICAN

As part of efforts aimed at promoting good ethical conducts and professionalism, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria(ICAN) at its 17th conferment of fellowship status ceremony awarded deserving members with the highest status which is the fellowship awards of the institute.

The event took place at the ICAN centre Amuwo Odofin Lagos.

The recipients of the award are professional accountants who have been in practice for a minimum of five years or members who are not in practice but have become chartered for a minimum of ten years.

In this season of accolades, it is important to bring to fore our own Sir Peter Nwosu.

A member 1977 set of Saint Teresa's College (STC) Nsukka. Graduated from Institute of Management and Technology Enugu, with HND in Accountancy. He was trained with Ojike, Okechukwu & Co. Chartered Accountants as Audit trainee. Qualified as Chatered Accountant in1991.

He worked for the then Intercontinental Bank and went on to ply his wares with Halliburton Geophysical Services Limited, Western Atlas and Shlumberger Oilfield Services Limited.

He retired from Shlumberger in 2009 and set up an Accounting practice (firm) known as PETE NWOSU & CO. Chartered Accountants in Port Harcourt.

On Tuesday, April 23, Sir Nwosu was conferred with Fellowship of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria FCA.

The 54th President of the institute, Razak Jaiyeola told the recipients, that it is a call to service, the need to improve service delivery at both public and private institutions where they find themselves will remain their ultimate goal.
Presently, Senior Nwosu is the Managing Partner of PETE NWOSU & Co. Chartered Accountants in Port Harcourt.

The latest award to Senior Nwosu was specially celebrated by Port Harcourt branch of the STOBA, where the President, Engr Tony Offor, congratulated the awardee and urged other old boys to keep representing in their different fields endeavours.
